DICL PRESENTS FOUR MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE, PLANS ICT SOLUTIONS FOR PRESIDENTS

Four software products designed to make managers more efficient have been presented by Domino Information Company Limited (DICL) in Abuja, with plans to produce ICT solutions for presidents of countries. 

These applications presented at the Transcorp Hilton hotel include Domino e-procure, an automated version of the public procurement act in Nigeria allowing managers to carry out the process of procurement efficiently, Domino e-Gov Toolkit which helps public managers to manage human and social development programmes/projects the right way, Domino Business Procure, gives managers control over business operating costs and Tenders toolkit, a subscriber based service that enables subscribers receive on a daily basis all the tenders and contract opportunities openly advertised in the country on their computers, and mobile and smart devices.

Uzo Nduka, chief executive, DICL, an ICT solution provider company said his firm intends to serve all managers in every sphere even from the president of a country with ICT solutions. He stated, “To function as a manager cost effectively in this 21st century, you cannot avoid ICT, it has become the universal and common tool for getting things done efficiently, so our belief is that we must create tools that are ICT based to make managers more effective in their work.”

He added that managers range from the president who has the responsibility of running a country efficiently, to governors, ministers, senators, honourables, commissioners, business owners, professionals in various fields even to a housewife who is a homemaker and must use the resources available to ensure the best for her household. “We shall soon produce a software that would make it possible for the president of a country to monitor and control what is going on in every part of the country from his desk,” he further stated.

Noble Pepple, executive director Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) informed the audience that some of the achievements of the agency and Rivers state can be credited to the innovation of DICL which was first tested by Rivers State.  “We are very happy to be the Guinea pig,” he stated.

Nze a, special adviser to the president on technical matters also extolled the innovative ICT products from DICL which are indigenous to Nigeria.
